Its been several years since the hugely successful KOTOR was produced by Bioware, and after a brief stint with another developer, it appears the license has returned quite safely to their hands. In a analyst report today, we learned that Bioware is currently working on a new KOTOR game, as well as a new MMO, the distinction apparently means that KOTOR will not in fact be an MMO like previously rumored.

The only details we know about the title is a release time frame, of fiscal 2008, placing the game anywhere in the window of April 2008-March 2009. Although, delays are always a very strong possibility, especially with a title we’ve yet seen absolutely nothing of, and can only guess how far it is actually in development. Last October, the partnership between EA and LucasArts was announced, so it seems probable that the title is only in the very early stages of formation.
