Mario Kart Wii Box Revealed
February 15th, 2008 by Jeff Baker in News, Wii
If you were expecting Nintendo’s Wii iteration of their much loved Mario Kart to come packaged in just the classic DVD sized box you were wrong. If you expected Nintendo to settle with sub-par controls (a la Excite Truck) you were also wrong. Nintendo recently unveiled the official box art for the latest addition to the Mario Kart franchise - Mario Kart Wii (10 points for originality). While the game disc will still come boxed in your run of the mill DVD-sized box, the whole thing will come bundled in the mammoth you see above.
What is included in the box you might ask? Well the official ‘Wii Wheel’ of course. While we’ve seen similar accessories from 3rd part manufacturers this is one of the first official Nintendo Wii peripherals that we’ve seen (along with the Wii Zapper). From the looks of it, the ‘Wii Wheel’ looks to have a bit more function that the hunk of plastic 3rd party accessories we’ve seen. But just how much will this seemingly required accessory bring up the price? Only time will tell.

I’m so glad a box was made already. Wasn’t this game suppose to be out already? Smash Bros was in November….oh wait it’s Nintendo. We’ll see Mario Kart in late 2008 most likely.
Glad I own an over priced downloading machine. All the money I spent on VC games…
