Rare Developing Unknown Title For 2008

It looks like Banjo and Viva Piñata for the DS aren’t the only two projects we’ll be seeing out of Rare this year. During one of the Scribes questions, the writer confirmed a third unknown project was in the works. That has to be a new sort of record of Rare if true, one of the reasons Nintendo dropped the company so easily was they usually only managed to churn out a single game a year.
“Well, for a start there’s the Rare-developed DS game. That’s due out his year and it most definitely has the ‘Rare touch’. The Viva Piñata team is working on a new title that we hope to be able to tell you about soon, and should be in the shops before the end of the year (it’s not Banjo).”
Of course, there is no saying what the title could be, while the Viva Piñata team did do a great job on the highly under-rated Viva Piñata, there is no word on whether this will be a full out title, or just a new XBLA addition. We’ve already heard some rumors about one. If the game is still on track, we will surely hear about it in one of the upcoming game conferences, E3 at the latest.
