The Agency May Not Feature Cross-play

the-agency.jpgAlthough it wasn’t stated, many had come to expect The Agency, SOE’s upcoming flagship MMO, to feature cross-platform play between the PS3 and PC. However, that will most probably never happen as the developers are torn between the control schemes on either platforms.

“Would the mouse player have a unique advantage,” asked SOE CEO John Smedley. “Would we have to make the auto-aiming system on the console a lot better to compensate for that? That would take some of the skill element away on the console.”

He then goes on to say that while the game might not feature cross-platform play, it will, however, let users log in from both PC and PS3.
