Amazon Planing Online Game Distributoin

February 16th, 2008 Posted in Business, News, Online, PC by James

GameTap, EA’s Link and Valve’s Steam have some serious competition in form of a potential online game distribution system by mega retailer Amazon. A job posting on Gamasutra reveals that something is up at Amazon, as they’re looking for staff for their Software and Video Games Digital Technology team, who are apparently working on the “Amazon Software Download” store. That’s right, not just games, “software” too. It seems as a logical step, as Amazon already has digital distribution systems for music, movies and e-books.
