PS3 Sells Better in First 14 Months than 360
Adding more fuel to the console wars, VG Chartz lets it be known that during both consoles first 14 months on the market, the PS3 was able to reach 10 million sales in a faster time frame than its competitor. This could leave a lot of you confused, considering all of the bad talk that has been circulating about the PS3 but GamePro analyzes why this could be the case. As most everyone knows, while 360 remains the all star over here in the states the same can’t be said about markets around the world. Helping the PS3 reach the 10 million mark faster than the 360 was its steady sale rate in major markets like Japan and Europe. This announcement comes around the same time as the recent announcement of the death of Toshiba’s HD DVD. The death of Blue ray’s competing format could only mean increased sales for the PS3 considering it is considered to be one of the most cost effective Blue ray players on the market.
