EA Classic To Be ‘Reinvented’ By Riddick Developer
It’s impressive when any studio releases a movie tie-in game that doesn’t fail miserably. Starbreeze’s “Chronicles Of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay” shocked everyone by being not only decent but actually the kind of game people would want to play even if the two films featuring Vin Diesel’s anti-hero hadn’t been made. (Yes, there were two films, and I’m not including the anime one.) While we’re all waiting in eager anticipation for the re-make you can spend your time prognosticating about Starbreeze’s next big project. EA has handed over one of their currently dormant franchises to the studio that also found success with “The Darkness”. There’s not even any hint as to what EA franchise it’ll be other than the very vague statement that it’s going to be one of their ‘most acclaimed classic franchises’. The only definite details we have are that the game will be coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 and is currently in development under the obfuscating name of Project RedLime. Since EA has been around for quite some time and has amassed quite a few popular titles it’s hard to pin down which one they’re talking about, but I’ll hazard some guesses both likely and just maybe a few things I’d love to see brought back.
Wing Commander. Probably one of the top contenders, considered some of the best space combat games out there.
Desert/Jungle Strike. With wave after wave of FPS games it’d be nice to see a throwback to the days when instead of genetically engineered super soldiers with powerful combat suits you had the technological simplicity of fighter jets and helicopters bristling with weapons.
Syndicate. Everyone loves a good dystopian/cyberpunk story where ruthless corporations accomplish their dirty deeds via cybernetically enhanced agents armed with everything from Uzis to grenades that can level an entire building. And of course everyone loves “the persuadatron”.
System Shock. This is another top possibility given the parallels between this series and Bioshock: a smooth blend of action and RPG mechanics, storylines that grow deeper and more complex as you look for information, and above all a rather spooky gaming experience where your enemies are just as likely to sneak up behind you as charge at you roaring a blood-curdling battle cry.
Mutant League Football/Hockey. Probably the most unusual sports games in existence. They’d instantly be harped on by every anti video game violence advocate since you could kill other players, your own players and the referee quite easily, but a definite cult classic.
Road Rash. Another fan favorite, who doesn’t love vehicular combat at high speeds?
Crusader: No Remorse/No Regret. One of my personal favorites, another classic story type: the former enforcer of the evil corporation who redeems himself by joining the resistance movement. Although the levels were generally rather linear in nature, the game did allow for some leeway in how to progress. In addition to blasting, freezing and vaporizing enemies with a variety of interesting weapons you could utilize a more stealthy (or at least less directly dangerous) approach with remote control and automated spider mines, land mines, remote detonation explosives as well as hacking into computer terminals to take control of automated defense systems.

There must be a way to recode the programming code from Crusader and translating into C++ code Which is the XP code! runable in a simple fullscreen EXE file or with normal installation! What a shame! Diablo is from 1995 and has a way to be playable in XP with no problems!
