The Whispered World Announced

February 22nd, 2008 Posted in Adventure, News, PC by Rajiv Ashrafi

thewhisperedworldlogo.jpgThe point-and-click adventure genre in gaming has almost died, with only a few releases now and then. Daedalic Entertainment hopes to change that, as they have announced The Whispered World, a game they hope follows the style of classic adventure games.

Set for release during Q4 2008, the title has players stepping into the shoes of Sadwick, a young clown, as he travels through a fairy tale world with his family’s circus. One night, a mysterious form speaks to him in a dream and sends him on a perilous journey, which the player has to partake in.

He will be accompanied by a little worm named Spot, as he travels through hand-painted backgrounds filled with animated details and stylistically crafted characters. It will be released only on PC.
