Moore: Activision Can’t Compete With EA

“Consumers get a chance to vote at the cash registers, and what we’re seeing is that our games are as popular as ever,” said Peter Moore, president of EA Sports, to MCV. “This is an area in which Activision-Blizzard really can’t compete with us.”

The former Xbox boss feels confident that EA will regain its spot as number one publisher, commenting that the company is globalizing itself, focusing on regions other than that of its homeland USA. “We need to globalise, and we’re taking many steps to broaden the appeal of our product portfolio,” he said, adding that the company is also looking to appeal to casual gamers.

Moore also believes that critics of the company are the ones who don’t play its games anymore.
