Dexter Game in Development
On IGN is word that a videogame based on the popular award-winning show, Dexter, is in the works. The surprise is that Marc Ecko’s Ecko Entertainment is developing the title. The entertainment wing was formed when Ecko brought out his own game to somewhat decent reviews.
“Dexter is the extremely rare TV show with enough layers of action and tension to translate perfectly into a compelling videogame,” said Marc Fernandez, Vice President of Marc Ecko Entertainment. “Our game designers, writers, and artists are going to give Dexter’s morally complex world the kind of interactivity that gamers will love.”
The series is about Dexter Morgan, a blood expert in the Miami police department who also moonlights as a serial killer taking down other murderers. It is based on a series of books by Jeff Lindsay.
No release date or platforms were mentioned. More details are expected in the coming months.
