Xbox 360 Price Cut Coming?

update051205_xbox360.jpgIf MCV is to be believed, Microsoft will announce a price cut later this month, bringing the price of the Xbox 360 to that of the Wii, directly competing for the casual market. The site notes that it comes from a “very good authority” and that it does not know whether the Premium or Elite SKUs will also see a price drop.

Interestingly, a few publishers have already confirmed the news to them, with MCV noting that major retailers have also been told. Microsoft as usual is not commenting on the matter, treating it as speculation, but many are suggesting that the price cut may happen by March 14, bringing the Arcade bundle down to a more palatable £140 in the UK.
