Feb NPD: Nintendo Regains Lead, 360 Falters

March 13th, 2008 by Brian Lockhart in News, Nintendo DS, Online, Wii

Things have settled down a bit since the off beat January sales figures, and all consoles have undergone the usual increase in sales as the holidays are finally well behind us. However, not all has settled back out to pre-Christmas standards. The PS3 still seems to be living it large, although has retreated behind PS2 once again. The 360, still touted as supply constrained by Microsoft, barely edged out the PSP, while both Nintendo consoles seemed to have regained their usual lead.

- DS: 587.6K
- Wii: 432K
- PS2: 351.8K
- PS3: 280.8K
- Xbox 360: 254.6K
- PSP: 243.1K

Industry sales for the month of February hit 1.33 billion a 34% increase driven by strong software sales and all consoles undergoing a noticeable boost.
