Lost Planet: Colonies Announced, Detailed

Capcom has officially announced Lost Planet: Colonies Edition, an expanded version of the original action title. It will be available on PC and Xbox 360 starting May 27 for $29.99; the console version will be packaged as the Platinum Hits version of the original.

Colonies features a number of additions to the multiplayer component, including new maps, weapons and game modes, as well as five new characters and camera views. It also features three new single-player modes - boss rush, off-limit and score attack.

Unfortunately, saved games from the original won’t work. Additionally, those who have the original won’t be able to duke it out against Colonies owners online, but it will feature cross-platform online play, allowing PC and Xbox 360 owners to duke it out.
