Operation Wolf, Super R-Type Strike Virtual Console
This week’s Virtual Console update sees the release of Super R-Type and Operation Wolf on the retro games service.
Originally released on the SNES, Super R-Type is a classic arcade shoot ‘em up that features elements from the original R-Type title and its sequel combined to produce a “blasting” challenge. It can be downloaded for 800 Wii points.
Operation Wolf is an action game that was originally released back in 1989 for the NES. The game has players rescuing a group of innocent civilians held hostage by terrorists, facing off against helicopters, tanks and patrol boats among other things. It can be downloaded for 500 Wii points.
