Spectrobes Sequel Detailed

The next game in the highly popular anime-inspired, sci-fi action-RPG game series Spectrobes has been revealed. Dubbed Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals, the game is being developed for the DS and will continue the story of Rallen and Jeena, who discover, excavate, awaken and train mysterious fossilized creatures known as Spectrobes and use them to battle enemies.

The game is being developed by Japan-based Jupiter Corp., the studio behind the original Spectrobes. As a sequel, it will have new features, including a new three-dimensional perspective, a map, new excavation and battle features, more creatures and more. It will also have a multiplayer mode utilizing the Nintendo Wi-fi connection.

Spectrobes’ sequel is being planned for release this Autumn.
