Japanese Hardware Sales March 10th-16th

Sales for the past week are now available from MediaCreate, with Japanese hardware sales for the week of March 10th-16th, and proved to be an interesting week for hardware. If anything is to be gained, it is that Nintendo DS has certainly seen better days, while it still preforms strongly, the PSP has come somewhat into its own, selling huge amounts of hardware (despite minimal sales in software as per usual). To be expected the 360 continues to barely track, but despite the PSP charting high, the rest of the Playstation family continues to shrink back.
Sales on the consoles were as follows:
- PSP: 57,651
- Wii: 55,845
- DS Lite: 53,266
- PS3: 14,934
- PS2: 9,930
- Xbox 360: 1,744
