Halo 3 Heroic Map Pack Now Free of Charge

While it’s probably not good news for those of us that dished out the 800 Microsoft Points to purchase Bungie’s Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3 it still comes as great news to the gaming community. Bungie has revoked the price of the Heroic Map Pack now offering it free of charge to make way for the Legendary Map Pack which is to be released next month.
Featured in the Heroic Map Pack were 3 all new playing fields including the critically acclaimed Foundry map which lets players practically construct their own level from the ground up.
Now onto the new stuff, the Legendary Map Pack will include Avalanche, a remake of the Halo 1’s Sidewinder, Ghost Town, and a currently unannounced map which speculations lead to believe may be a remake of the Halo 2’s Lockout, although that remains as just a rumor at this point.
Halo 3′s Legendary Map Pack will be released on April 15th for 800 Microsoft Points.
