Savage 2 Gets Massive Free Update

Besides releasing the Linux client, S2 Games today also released a massive and completely free content update for Savage 2. This marks the first of many free, sizeable content updates, according to the developer.

The update brings level armor progression to the game, having the player character’s armor reflect higher attributes as the player levels up. There is also full clan implementation, offering match setting, team stats, server reservation and more. Commander VoIP has also been added, letting commanders issue verbal commands to their troops with the help of a headset.

Among other additions is a new Hellbourne unit “Devourer”, a brand new monstrous demon that grows in size and strength as it devours corpses. There are also new achievements and new community created maps. Other stuff includes an unofficial server list, revised tutorial and in-game voice tips, and more.
