Our hombres over at CVG have squeezed an Autumn release for Far Cry 2 out of Ubisoft. While this isn’t the spring release that we originally heard it is still reassurance that sooner than later Far Cry 2 will be hitting shelves.

Also included in CVG’s post are some details on the yet to be released FPS. For instance, we now know that Far Cry 2 will take place in a 50sq/km African state, currently in a major conflict, where the player is sent to eliminate the weapons dealer supplying both sides of the conflict. Ubisoft also let CVG know that the game is in no way linear and the story line will be completely influenced by the players actions throughout the game. Check back often for more info on Far Cry 2.
