Has your Xbox 360 recently gotten stolen? Well just do what Jesse McPherson decided to do.

Jesse’s 360, along with his laptop and TV, was stolen from his Philly based home recently. Displeased with the police’s progress, Jesse decided to take matters into his own hands. Posting a blog post complete with security camera photos of the thief trying to pawn his laptop along with a ransom message received over Xbox LIVE, Jesse hoped that the internet community would help him where the police could not. And they did just that. Within just one day of the post being picked up by Digg the internet had banded together and formed a virtual search party in order to track down the thief.

Soon thereafter, success was inevitable and the Xbox was found and promptly returned to Jesse by the Xbox holders mother, who was later found to have purchased the console from another person. Also following the blog posting, the laptop was returned to its rightful owner by the person captured on CCTV in the pawn shop.

Good job everyone involved, the internet prevails yet again!
