New York Comic Con to Feature Gears of War 2

In an evolution of the New York Comic Con, the second largest pop culture event in the US, the convention will be host to an expanded focus on videogames, with this year’s conference including a look at the Gears of War franchise and its upcoming sequel, as well as appearances by Epic Games president Michael Capps and Gears of War 2 scriptwriter Joshua Ortega from Microsoft Game Studios.

The show will also be host to various video game exhibitors including Konami, Namco Bandai, Square Enix and Ubisoft, some of the biggest names in the gaming industry. These exhibitors will display their current hits and preview their upcoming titles on the show floor.

As a special, the show will organize a special gamer summit on April 20, with 12 panel discussions led by video game industry leaders; the summit will showcase games including Age of Conan, EVE Online, Iron Man, Warhammer Online and more.

New York Comic Con (NYCC) will run from April 18-20 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.
