Iwata Asks: Getting Serious About The Wii Wheel

April 4th, 2008 by Brian Lockhart in News, Online, Wii

A new Iwata Asks is now available. It’s the odd feature done on the Nintendo page, where Iwata the CEO likes to conduct large interviews, usually leading up to the release of big Nintendo products. He grills the developer of upcoming Mario Kart naturally, the next game on our horizon, but don’t expect Wii Fit to slip through the cracks, that will naturally follow shortly I’d expect. Miyamoto also chimes in about the Wii wheel, and how apparently the developers went through 30 different prototypes before settling on the final one. And for the sake of interest, they showcase those prototypes. Personally, I think some are even cooler than the hunk of plastic they finally settle on.

Hop on over to the round table discussion, it certainly makes for an interesting read of the inside workings of Nintendo.
