Rumor: Elebits 2 Wii Bound

Elebits was one of my favourite, if not contention for my favourite Wii release titles. Or semi-first as I recall is came along in North America a few weeks later. Sure there were big Nintendo efforts in Wii Sports and Zelda that hogged the glory, but Elebits was an amazingly fun title that strongly showcased IR functionality. Not to mention basically the only thing to actually use Wii connect 24 at launch.

Elebits had a sequel rumored for the Nintendo DS, but apparently that’s not the case, as one is inbound for the Wii instead. With a longer development time, and the right development team, Elebits could truly wind up being a top tier title. It sold half decently (as most launch games tend to do), but it would probably have to pump things up a bit to catch attention in this rumored outing.
