Mario Super Sluggers Announced

The first details for Mario Super Sluggers was announced today by Nintendo of America. The latest sports title to star Mario and his “unpredictable pals” (as Nintendo puts it), the game is very much like the Wii Sports baseball mini-game, having players literally swinging and pitching with the Wii Remote. However, unlike Wii Sports, players will be allowed to charge up power moves with button presses.

Mario Super Sluggers is a rebranding of the previously announced Super Mario Stadium Baseball and is said to arrive later this year, though no firm release date was provided. It is being developed y Mario Superstar Baseball veteran Namco Bandai.
