Following word that songs by Def Leppard would appear in Guitar Hero 4, music label Mercury Records has revealed that the band’s upcoming single “Nine Lives” will debut as a downloadable track for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Guitar Hero 3. The pack will feature two older songs from the band – “Rock of Ages” and “Photograph” – to round out the three-song bundle.
The bundle will be available for download starting April 24 in North America; European PS3 owners, sadly, will have to wait until May 8 to get the track pack. According to Mercury, the song’s release on April 24 will give players the chance to experience the new track a week before it is available via retail stores.
No pricing information was disclosed, though going by previous track packs for the game, the trio of songs will probably sell for 500 Microsoft points ($6).
