Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Revealed

Tacky names aside, IGN carries first details on Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, an upcoming game based on the wall-crawling superhero. The game will see a return to a free-roaming, open-ended New York that combines web slinging with customizable powers, with an emphasis on vertical combat as well as ground-based attacks.

Additionally, the game will allow gamers to choose their style of play – take up the hero’s task, protecting the innocent, or ignore them all and be an anti-hero. Various Marvel heroes and villains will appear in the title, offering players the chance of switching sides whenever they want.

Web of Shadows is being worked on at Shaba Games and Treyarch for PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, DS, Wii and Xbox 360. No release date is known at the moment.
