Ace Combat Sells Over 10m Units Worldwide

Undoubtedly one of the more popular game franchises around, Namco Bandai today announced that the Ace Combat series has sold over 10 million units worldwide. The series has remained a smash hit, both critically and commercially, since the first title hit the PS1 in 1995.

Debuting as Air Combat for the PS1, the Ace Combat series is now host to eight releases across four platforms. The latest game in the series is Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, which was released for the Xbox 360 in November 2007. Until then, the series was a PlayStation exclusive.
