April 20th, 2008 Posted in Action, News, PlayStation 3 by Rajiv Ashrafi

Taxibepot For those praying that Grand Theft Auto IV won’t be met with another delay, Joystiq carries salvation with word that the game has gone gold and is “en route” to stores. This comes from Take-Two CEO, Ben Feder, who revealed at a shareholder’s meeting that the game is in production and should arrive at retailers soon.

GTA 4 is expected to see a massive launch, with publisher Take-Two hoping to rake in over $400 million during the first week alone. The game, as per analysts, is positioned to break previous sales records and may also have an impact on sales of movie tickets during its release period. It is due out on April 29 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
