Guitar Hero 4 to Have Other Instruments

Following rampant speculation, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick confirmed to IGN that Guitar Hero IV, the fourth entry in the music-playing series, will feature other instruments.
“[The game is] not just about guitars,” he revealed to IGN. “We’ll include a lot of other instruments, vocals. It will help us expand internationally. It’s the first game we’ve had in which we can use local content and local bands.”
The success of Harmonix’s Rock Band may have provoked Activision into rethinking the Guitar Hero franchise. The third sequel is expected for release this Fall, and is one of the three Guitar Hero titles set for release within the period of this year. Other titles include Guitar Hero On Tour (DS) and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
