Home gets delayed, again

April 22nd, 2008 by Jeff Baker in Online, PlayStation 3, Simulation

If you had high hopes that Sony’s virtual world, Home, would hit your PS3 anytime soon, you might want to reconsider reading forward.

Sony has recently announced that they will, yet again, be pushing Home’s open beta release date back, this time until Autumn with no specific dates announced. This is now the third time Sony has had to delay their virtual world service, but they let us know, again, that the delay will be in the best nature as they now have even more time to develop the service.

While this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a software delay in the industry, it is a bit annoying, considering it’s the third delay. You don’t have to feel too bad though as Sony will be extending the closed beta until the end of the summer, giving Home hopefuls at least a bit of faith.
