1269 Koei has announced that it is going to bring Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI to the PC. It is set for release in North America on July 29.

Originally released for consoles last year, the game is the latest in the historical simulation franchise that allows players to relive the period between the end of China’s Han Dynasty and the second and third centuries AD. Players are set as the ruler of a kingdom, having to look at over 40 base commands, including domestic affairs, diplomacy and warfare. The game features improved control over its predecessors, allowing players to plan their movements without undue time constraints and then execute their battle tactics when ready. It also introduced an entirely new system for researching military techniques, as well as an Advanced Tactics System that allows players to drive or lure enemies into ambushes.

It will be a budget title after release, retailing for $19.99.
