Codemasters Buys Sega Racing Studio

Following up on word that Sega intended to close its Sega Racing Studio, UK publisher Codemasters revealed that it has purchased the studio, providing the company with the opportunity to work on various Codemasters franchises such as Colin McRae and Race Driver.
“In seizing this opportunity, we have created additional resources to escalate our plans in the racing segment,” said Codemasters chief executive Rod Cousens. “We hope to welcome more than 40 people to the company.”
