Canadian PS Store Getting Currency Update

May 1st, 2008 by Rajiv Ashrafi in Business, News, PlayStation 3

playstation_store_stock Seeing as how the Canadian dollar has gained ground on the weakening US currency, Sony Computer Entertainment America announced that it will be adjusting the Canadian prices of items in the PlayStation Store. The company notes that the adjustments will occur just prior to this week’s Store update, which will happen later today.

No specific price changes or examples were provided, though a look at currency exchange rates shows that Canadian and US dollars are almost equal now.

“We anticipate that this price adjustment will meet the expectations of our Canadian consumers and provide them with a better PlayStation Network experience,” said PlayStation Store senior manager Grace Chen on the matter.
