Activision Out of E3

May 2nd, 2008 Posted in Business, E3, News by Rajiv Ashrafi

activision GamingNexus carries word that Activision will not be present at E3 this year. This is the exact message they received from the publisher: “After careful consideration, for business reasons Activision has decided not to participate in any official E3 activities. We wish the ESA best of luck with the show.”

This comes as a major blow to the restructured E3 which is forgoing the madness of its ancestors for a more subdued business-like approach. Activision recently announced itself to be the number one publisher in North America thanks to the success of Guitar Hero 3 and Call of Duty 4, among its other titles.
