108258418446d1cee04394a Hothead Games sends word that obscenely long-named title Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness has gone gold. This is the first episode in the webcomic-based adventure game that will be released for Windows, Mac and Linux at some point in the coming two months; there is also a Xbox Live version in the works, though its release date is even more ambiguous.

The game will be released through Steam, as well as through Greenhouse, PA’s own digital content delivery service. The game follows Gabe and Tycho from the comic series, as they combat enemies and solves mysteries in New Arcadia. The game is a result of a close collaboration between Hothead Games and Penny Arcade, featuring distinct artwork and characters designed exclusively by the creators of the comic.
