Rumor: New X-COM in the Works

xcom310 The existence of a new X-COM may be the wet dream of many of the series’ fans, but does it actually exist? A report in the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine expands on the long-running rumor of the game, saying that BioShock creator 2K Boston studio head Ken Levine is working on a new entry in the long dormant tactical series.

The rumor has been circulating for quite a while now; it started with the appearance of a document attributing Irrational Games – now 2K Boston and 2K Australia – to be working on it. Current projects of the studio are unknown at the moment, though Levine is said to be participating in the development of a BioShock sequel which is being developed by 2K Marin.

The OXM article did not reveal anything new or specific.
