Skate It Controls Revealed

The first thing that came to my mind when I heard that EA was bringing the skate franchise to the Wii and Nintendo DS was; What the hell are the controls going to be like, considering neither console features two joysticks like the PS3 or Xbox 360?

Well, the veil has been lifted and the controls revealed as EA has released two videos showcasing just how the player will go about making the board flip in those crazy ways. Of course, the video doesn’t actually show any game play, rather professional skateboarder Chris Haslam performing the tricks and then a PIP that shows how you would do said tricks in both games.

Turns out, for the Wii version of Skate It you mimic the skateboards maneuvers by flicking the Wiimote in different directions. The DS version on the other hand, features a picture of a skateboard deck on the touchscreen on which the player draws different lines on to make the board flip in various ways.
