Metal Gear Solid 4 Goes Gold, Features Product Placement

Developer Kojima Productions has revealed that the long-awaited stealth action title Metal Gear Solid 4 has completed production and is on its way to the manufacturing line. “I can now saw we have finished, Metal Gear Solid 4 is finally completed,” said series creator Hideo Kojima at a press event yesterday. “It was quite a test. Honestly, I feel relieved.”

Kojima also disclosed that the game will include product placement featured throughout its levels. One of them is a 30GB iPod that can be used to play music found during the game; gamers will be able to play music while stealthily sneaking their way through the game. Additionally, Playboy magazines will replace the generic dirty magazines; it will help reduce the ‘stress’ of series protagonist Snake.

The game is due out next month exclusively on the PS3 and is sure to be a big hit with both critics and gamers.
