Final Fantasy Composer Looking West

May 20th, 2008 Posted in News, Xbox 360 by Will Prusik

One of the earliest franchises to feature carefully composed, atmosphere-enhancing music, the Final Fantasy series has been on the forefront of musical excellence for years. Hitoshi Sakimoto is one of many talented composers who have contributed to the beauty, immersiveness and overall success of the games, specifically Final Fantasy XII.

His work experience covers video games and anime alike and reaches back to 1988. Mr. Sakimoto has announced that he will be collaborating with Four Bars Entertainment to bring his skills to ears of western gamers directly. He says he’s looking forward to branching out in new directions and applying his skills to games being developed outside of Japan as he says that the approach needed for Japanese games is different than games elsewhere.
