Splinter Cell Conviction Not Being Redesigned
May 20th, 2008 by Rajiv Ashrafi in Action, News, Xbox360
EuroGamer reports that following rumors that Splinter Cell: Conviction might be going back to the drawing board, Ubisoft has issued a statement dismissing the rumor as nothing but speculation. The publisher was responding to a report in Xbox World 360 magazine that claimed the game was being redesigned because it wasn’t groundbreaking enough; the report also stated that the game had been outdated by Assassin’s Creed.
Ubisoft hasn’t revealed much information on the game, though more is expected at next week’s Ubidays press event. The fifth installment in the series strips Fisher of his gadgets, having him relying on old-school techniques of sneaking around – blending into crowds and stuff like that.
