1701 AD Gold Edition Announced

51sAp3Rd1nL._SL500_AA280_ Aspyr today sent out word that it has teamed with Ubisoft to release 1701 AD Gold Edition for PC in North America this Summer. The bundle includes the critically acclaimed empire building strategy game as well as its expansion The Sunken Dragon. The add-on offers 11 new missions, story-driven campaign and a new world editor that allows gamers to design and share maps for single-player or online play. There are also new enemy units, AI profiles, subquests and more.

“With the success and praise for 1701 A.D., we couldn’t resist bringing this vast new adventure to North American gamers,” said Ted Staloch, Executive Vice President, Publishing for Aspyr. “Beyond just the new missions, providing the full toolset to create and share player-designed maps adds incredible value and makes this compilation truly golden.”

It will retail for $29.99 once released.
