Coming out of the blue is word that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is in development, with Ubisoft announcing the game’s existence at its Paris-based Ubidays press event. A sequel to the 2003 sleeper hit, the game will continue the story from the original which fared well with critics, but flopped badly at retail.

No release date has been announced yet.
