Call of Duty 4 Hits 10M

June 5th, 2008 Posted in Action, Business, FPS, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 by Rajiv Ashrafi

callofdutyboxmb2 Undoubtedly the best entry in the series so far, Call of Duty 4 has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. This comes from Activision-owned studio Infinity Ward, the main developer of the franchise.

While the studio didn’t offer (heck, it doesn’t know itself) any word as to how it did on individual platforms, studio head Vince Zampella noted that the game had been most successful on the Xbox 360.

Zampella further pointed out that the game is one of “less than ten” games to reach the double digit milestone since 2000.
