Microsoft: Xbox Live Unfit for Thousands of DLC

Turns out Microsoft didn’t really expect Xbox Live to achieve the level of popularity it now has! Xbox 360 product manager Aaron Greenberg has said that the company is unsatisfied with the interface of Xbox Live, particularly in the ways customers can search its content.
“I think that we are not, I would say… happy with the ability to find and discover content as easily as we’d like for consumers to be able to do that,” said Greenberg in an interview with MTV Multiplayer.
Greenberg noted that the platform’s interface was never intended to serve the amount of content it now serves. The company recently announced plans to delist underperforming Xbox Live Arcade titles.
“I think a lot of that is we built Xbox Live Marketplace for a few hundred items and now we have 17,000 items,” he added. “We built a small store and we filled it with lots of lots of stuff. We’re feeling some of these growing pains and [the new policy] is one of those tradeoffs we’ve had to make.”
However, he notes that Microsoft is looking into correcting the interface problem.
