PlayStation Home in Beta Form this Year

HD_SIDE_430X360 While the open-world service was delayed by Sony a few weeks ago, Wired reports that PlayStation Home is ’still on track’ for release this year. It will be a limited release, however, with Wired noting that the platform will remain in Beta mode.

According to the article, the “rollout will be similar to Gmail,” Google’s popular web-based email service, describing the launch as an “open, working Beta.”

Hopefully it won’t follow Google’s steps, or it will never get out of beta status.
