Resident Evil 5 May Come to PC

Capcom has been showing interest in PC gaming for quite a while now, what with major titles like Lost Planet and Devil May Cry 4 getting specialized PC ports, as well as upcoming titles like Bionic Commando, Street Fighter 4 and Dark Void. It appears Resident Evil 5 may also join the list if statements made by producer Jun Takeuchi are correct.

Speaking to EuroGamer, Takeuchi mentioned that the survival horror game is being developed primarily on the PC and then ported to the PS3 and Xbox 360. This was done with DMC 4, too, though the PC version is being released after the console versions due to the time taken to optimize it for various hardware configurations.

The same can be expected of RE5, the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of which is expected some time next year.
