afrikarhino Not much is known about Sony’s safari simulation that was first shown at the company’s E3 2006 press conference. Dubbed Afrika, the game was said to offer players a look at African wildlife through a new perspective, and that’s what Famitsu is reporting this month, as they have found out that the game will include at least three camera angles – third person view, bird’s eye view and the animal’s point of view; there will also be fixed camera points.

The magazine also reports that players will be able to make their way across open fields either by foot or through vehicles such as jeeps. Photographs can also be taken over long distances using binoculars. It is yet unknown how animals will interact with the player.

Last, but not least, Famitsu reports that Japan will get the game on August 28; no release date is yet known for other regions.
