No Ken and Ryu in Street Fighter Film

SFIII_New_Generation_Ryu_Ken--article_image What’s a Street Fighter movie without the ass-kicking duo of Ken and Ryu? As it stands, the upcoming movie will make do without them, as the red and white suited fighters won’t be appearing in the movie, thanks to it being an ‘origin story’ for Chun-Li.

This was revealed by producer Patrick Aiello, who flat out stated that Ken and Ryu will not be appearing in “this” film, noting that they may appear in future installments, if there are any, of course. Official movie blogger Aaron Horwitz tries to do a little damage control, bringing up the example of the X-Men movies, noting that “Nightcrawler, Pyro and Beast” didn’t show up until later installments.

Personally, I don’t see what the point is in doing a Street Fighter movie if two of the most popular characters aren’t in there. They are doomed.
