Having lumped gamers in with “nerds and otaku”, Nintendo, it has been revealed through a job listing, may be working on ways to expand the Wii’s storage issues.
The company has put up a job listing for a tester to create a “test plan for Wii’s USB devices”, causing many to speculate that the company may be looking into ways of expanding the console’s storage. Users can currently store games and other content on the console’s paltry 512MB memory block; files can also be stored on SD memory cards, though content cannot be run off them.
Let’s see what these “USB devices” turn out to be. Maybe the company might be looking into adding extra storage options since Guitar Hero 4 will support DLC on the Wii.
