June 15th, 2008 by Rajiv Ashrafi in Business, PSP

gangs-of-london Greed has gotten to Sony! The company has increased prices ranging from $1 to $6 on a number of downloadable PSP titles on the PlayStation Store. According to this Gamasutra report, the price hike was mostly limited to premium PSP games being released on the PlayStation Store, while the PlayStation Network-exclusive titles kept their original price points. No reason for the price increase was given, and it wasn’t even mentioned in Sony’s PlayStation Blog store update post.

Most games saw an increase of $5 to their original price, including WipeOut Pure ($15.99), SOCOM Fireteam Bravo ($15.99) and Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee ($15.99). The only game to receive a bigger price increase was Gangs of London, which saw a $11 bump.
